Excessive Sweating
65Excessive Sweating
Are you someone who’s a victim of excessive sweating? If you are, chances are you don’t care why your body excessively sweats, you just care about how to get it under control. It is best to understand your body and excessive sweating causes before tackling the problem. Learning how to control, or stop excessive sweating is fairly simple. Another thing to consider is not just sweating during the day but also night sweat. In particular, what causes night sweats. There are several home remedies that we will discuss along with specific deodorants which are produced for the exact purpose to control excessive sweating. Here is my story and how I went from what many would consider a sweaty bastard who commonly had hot flashes symptoms to a clean and dry upstanding individual.
My name is Michael K. Daniels. I’m 30 years old and in pretty decent shape. Five years ago I was grossly overweight and living in Florida. My body would produce what could only be considered an obscene amount of perspiration to keep me cool. When you’re living in this condition, it is hard to feel comfortable and confident going out in public. I was constantly worried that I would sweat too much and look like a sloppy mess. I became a shut in based on how self conscience I was going out into public. It wasn’t just my under arms that were excessively sweating. My back, chest, neck, legs and groin area all produced enough perspiration that Niagara Falls would have been proud. My social life suffered and my love life was completely inexistent. It was at this point I made the decision to do some research, get help, and put my life back in order.
The first thing I did was look into home remedies for excessive sweating. Apple cider vinegar (ACV) supplements are said to have properties which help stop excessive sweating along with several other positive effects. ACV also helps boost metabolism and can help control cholesterol levels. From my research I found that not everyone had success with ACV however the general consensus was it was better than taking prescription drugs that could hurt your kidneys and have other side effects. So I decided to first try the apple cider vinegar remedy. I went to my local health foods store and asked if they made apple cider vinegar in pill form. Turns out they do, however they are hard to find. A typical neighborhood supermarket may not carry them. Try specialty health foods and supplement stores. I had some success with ACV but it didn’t completely cure my aliment. I still take a daily dose of ACV along with omega-3 fish oil and vitamin D supplements which seems to be a perfect combination to start from a biological level.
Next was deodorant. I had tried aerosol spray, powder, gel, and cream based antiperspirants, all of which had varying levels of success. I found the best success with an over the counter product by Old Spice called Red Zone. This particular antiperspirant deodorant, along with the ACV and other supplements, helped curb my excessive sweating to a more normal level.
One thing that I would like to caution is how much antiperspirant to apply in one sitting. Do not over apply deodorant. This will give you a very uncomfortable feeling, which essentially will defeat the purpose of what you are trying to accomplish and will cause some unwanted side effects. The side effects include turning your clothing yellow, burning your skin, and ultimately causing extremely bad body odor if left on too long. Proper hygiene is extremely important. Make sure you are showing every day and wiping yourself with a wet wash cloth under your arms at night before you go to sleep will help with the process. Antiperspirant deodorant works best in low doses. It may be counter intuitive, but the old saying is true. Less is more.
