68Quickest Way To Lose Weight
Often people wonder what is the quickest way to lose weight. Whether it’s for a special occasion like a graduation or wedding, or if you just happen to be someone who needs to lose a few extra pounds. Like everything else, there is a right way and a wrong way to do it. Both can lead to successfully losing weight however depending on which road you decide to travel down, there could be consequences that far outweigh the benefits.
Morbidly Obese Options:
There are different options for different people. Someone who is morbidly obese may have very few available options. Some of these choices involve undergoing major surgery such as gastric bypass. Once the surgery has taken place, a strict gastric bypass diet plan should be followed for safety and to maximize the results of the surgery. Before going with a surgical procedure, I would recommend to people of all sizes to simply make better lifestyle decisions in regards to diet and exercise. It may seem like a cliché, however learning how to live a healthy lifestyle is by far the safest option. Start off slowly by monitoring your calorie intake and by doing some very light exercise. This could include adding a few servings of fruits and vegetables to your meals, and walking around the house. I remember seeing a Richard Simmons special where he was working with someone who was so obese that they couldn’t get out of bed. He started her off by clapping her hands together. It might sound silly, but it was a start. Most people fear the start the most.
Slightly Obese Options:
Someone who is only slightly obese should probably not take such drastic action in terms of a surgery to reach the desired results of losing weight. TV shows like The Biggest Loser shows that by putting in hard work and effort people can lose weight and keep it off. The contestants on that show are much larger than typical humans in terms of body mass, yet they still achieve the desired weight loss results. It may not be the quickest way to lose weight, but by exercising hard and eating right, you will shed pounds. I’ve seen people drop over 20 lbs in one week on that show. It’s very possible to make your dreams happen with a little hard work.
Just a few extra pounds to lose:
When people are only slightly overweight and have just a few pounds to lose they usually resort to crash diets or starvation to lose weight. What they don’t realize is by doing that they’re actually increasing their body’s likelihood of gaining even more weight when they get off the diet. These are indisputable facts. The quickest way to lose weight for someone who is just slightly overweight is to join a gym and hit the elliptical for 30 minutes per day on a low setting. You can work your way up in time and difficulty slowly. Just keeping your heart rate up for 30 minutes a day will do wonders. For people who aren’t used to going to the gym, their body may react with pain for the first few days. You will recover and get over this uncomfortable feeling. Most people quit at the first inclination of pain. Don’t fall victim to this loser mentality. The positive thing is when your body gives you pain that means you’re working hard and your weight loss is on track. If you haven’t worked out in a years, and are in poor physical condition you will feel pain. It really comes down to mind over matter. If you can work through the initial period of hurting then you’ll go on to do great things. Once you’ve been working out for several weeks and months, you’ll constantly have to push your body to new limits in order to achieve that feeling of pain. You’ll actually look forward to hurting after a workout.
